So instead of going around trying all the recording software, i'd like to know if there's anyone here who's tried recording at 4K and not get their framerate tanked. I tried using Afterburner and got some success there but editing becomes a real problem because it has to record to MKV files and premiere CC doesn't like that much. Using GPU encoding also doesn't help much. My CPU when recording with OBS is barely used (not even 50%) so its no bottleneck as far as i can see (5960x 4.4ghz). Pick where files will be saved, choose codecs or stick with. Select audio and video tracks to be recorded.
